Yoga Is A Way Of Life
Joani Glasser is a yoga teacher with over 30 years experience teaching group classes as well as private. Joani's style is a blend of yoga theories with slow, flowing movement, and attention given to those with physical limitations. She starts each class with breathing (pranayama) to calm the body and mind and guides you into gentle postures (asanas) with flow and awareness. Each class is somewhat different, adding self Shiatsu and Manual Ligament Therapy techniques to ease neck, shoulder, TMJ, and foot concerns. We always end with deep relaxation (savasana). Her background and specialized training in yoga therapy for the back has brought many students to greater mobility, ease and well-being. She often includes a brief shiatsu massage toward the end of class. Joani brings compassion, humor and years of experience to each student she teaches. She has a Master's degree in Education, nursing backgorund, and is a Licensed Massage Therapist/Practitioner, specializing in Shiatsu and pain relief. A Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance (RYT-500)
